Choosing duties doesn't seem to work.

For the maid side: the only duty that "kinda" works is the punishment where you have to work on the Laundry, but it's impossible to complete and whenever I try talking to the laundry maid inspector, she jus repeats the same thing over and over even when the task has been completed, the rest I tried to accept before going for the punishment task, but it doesn't acknowledge anything.

For the guard side: it starts working fine? Basically the only working quests at the start are the the training one and the the armory one. The first guard promotion task works just fine, but by after the first promotion the only task that works is the armours inspection. For the next promotion task it's hard to do because I cannot find the guest wing on the first floor and the stairs appear to be blocked by an invisible wall or something.

Hopefully these bugs get fixed, since the premise of the game is very intriguing.

I can only wish you the best, dear developer! 😄

Thank you for the feedback. I'll take a look at it soon.
I may  have to move all duties to the boards to make things a bit eaiser, along with the quest helper in the menu. and seems I thougth I fixed the flag for quest,  but seems it didn't go right. I'll have to double check how I have things set up.  I'll update as soon as I can.

I'll say too, this has been a passion project, I did and stopped a few times, what seems like 8 or so years of working on it, trashing and starting again. Starting from just XP and then VX,, over to MV, and now in MZ xD

I cannot start any maid tasks. The quest log says I need supplies from the Maid Storage Cleaning Station, which is not a room anywhere on the map. I can't get the tools, I can't do the tasks, I can't progress the game.

The commenter below me couldn't proceed at all either. There's a difference between releasing an early build and releasing a build with no play testing at all. Please actually confirm basic functionality of your game, and preferably have some friends do a bit of initial testing, before putting out a public release.

There is a room for it; it's in the maids' area. While not a full room, there is a room area built for it. While I've run through it, i'm seeing the problems as they are being brought up either a flag that got messed up or as the early one with not doing hidden task. But i'll have some other double run things for it and work on getting a proper update out for why its fail stating in such a early part.

How much of the game is done? Because I cannot do much of anything, and I can't tell if it's a bug or not.

Interacting with all the things at the checkpoint does not progress the quest, I cannot take any duties as either a guard or maid, and the only interactivity is being punished for entering the Head Maid/Guard's office as the opposing type. The punishment duty can be finished at least. And leaving the castle entirely to get the first bad end.

no that would be a bug.  you should be able to take tasks of the guard/maid the one you dressed as. I'll have to see where i missed a flag as the game is meant to be closer to 80% just in need of art and some other bits. thanks for pointing that out.

I should have it fixed from what I've seen; hopefully, things are fixed the rest of the way through.

they aren’t. I understand this is a work in progress and that you are only one person. HOWEVER-

Can only do training drill and armory inspection as guard. Maid storage room is either not labelled, or is hidden so well I cannot locate it. Is it that little section in the northwest area of the common room?

Referring to the guards by their duty in the work log is all well and good, except I have no idea who is what when all I have is their name.

Cannot switch jobs as either maid or guard. Attempting to change outfit only displays “change into guard uniform” when dressed as a guard, with both changing rooms. Vice versa when wearing a maid outfit.

Yes, that would be where it's at- just an offshoot room. It's not meant to be hidden, but I didn't want to put signs all over to guide either.

For the guard side, I can work on some clarity for it then. So it states where people are.

I'll add in i did have people looking over as i was going to the 80ish % mark, from what i can tell when i went to change one line of code for something it did the normal programer thing and broke 30+ other things.
